Job Description

Responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to support high-quality and cost-effective production. This role involves close collaboration with product development, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions into manufacturing environments.

 Location: Onsite, Richards Manufacturing Facility (Irvington, NJ) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team to support production goals, working closely with operations.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and automation projects.
  • Oversee the selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Partner with R&D and product design teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to manufacturing performance (e.g., OEE, yield, downtime, scrap).
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop budgets and capital expenditure plans for manufacturing engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.

Special Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with CAD, ERP/MES systems, and industrial automation technologies.
