High Fault Current Elbow
The Richards High Fault Current Elbow (HFE) offers a safe way to test and ground equipment for systems with greater than 10,000A of fault current available (up to 60,000A). The HFE allows users to safely remove the insulating cap and direct test for voltage, even while energized. Once the system is found to be de-energized, a 60,000A rated grounding device can be installed for total safety. And, like the other Richards combination elbows, this product requires no installation of a reducing tap interface. The high-current rated 600A interface is built right into the elbow, creating a solid design that provides a safe "live break" interface to test and ground equipment.
