Utility Equipment Test
& Development (UET&D)
UET&D, a Richards' related company, is a full service laboratory
with the capabilities to fully test distribution cables and joints.
Tests include AC and DC breakdown, impulse and corona (discharge). UET&D
also provides independent failure analysis for cable and joints, for
both paper insulated (PILC) and solid dielectric insulation. UET&D
is actively involved in research and development to develop new
techniques and new products for greater system reliability. For further
